Photo Scenery Looks Better Than FSX

Featured Replies

My homemade photo scenery (Western Pennsylvania, USA) looks much better than it did in FSX. The color level is less (saturation). Also, the green color is reduced. Most of the color stuff I used appeard to be done by agriculture departments and emphasized green. Now the color balance is better and rather than just real outlines the colors look more correct. Also, it does not hurt getting 112fps since there are no buildings or Autogen to render on photos.Windows7, 8400 DualCore 3ghz, nVidia 240gt 512mb

I've noticed this with other photo scenery in P3D. Blurriness also seems to be much less of an issue.

I would tend to agree on blurring (resolution). My photo textures are 1m/pixel the same as standard landclass. In P3D they do look a bit less distinct that they did in FSX. I attribute this when at the edge I see the landclass more clearly. I used 90% fidelity instead of 100% when I made the textures and now that slight compression is noticeable. Maybe I will redo some spots at a better resolution now.Probable a placebo effect and Lockheed developers are chuckling.Just%20Kidding.gif
