When update is complete and I'm requested to close game, I get this:

""Microsoft Flight encountered an error while initializign its systems." The program will now exit. And If I start Flight again it begins with updating and end again with this error. It was working great till now.

Try running Flight as Administrator. (At least until update is done)

I tried but didn't help. I have game on non system disk and not in "program files" folder.

Just checked the Beta site, some users are having same problem.

(Some of them reported having to wait several minutes for the Update screen to run after quitting Flight)

 

I have GAC completely disabled, and had no problems.

For me, update screen is up few seconds after quitting Flight. And it begin installing without pressing Next button. When I press Finish it shows Error window. I've closed antivirus.

got a flight.exe stopped working error after the update. not good. but not worse than before. had these error before, too...

OK, I've solved problem. When first installing Flight I was using different MS lIve username. When creating new I also installed it in different location. And somehow this update was installing on first location (alto those folder were empty). Then I've just copied new files to my real game folder. It works now.

working here as well. just had to reinstall base pack, needed to download 1.4gb twice until I got a working cab file. noticed that the base pack is still the old version, so was prompted to update. worked well then, just had to manually install Live login/essentials again which got deleted, too, before. did 1 flight, so far good looking. only the hat panning is way slowlier than before, takes ages to change outside view now...
