NGX + 3 LCD: 2D panel.cfg mods

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

When I use the NGX with the Matrox triplehead2go to obtain 5040x1050 over three monitors I have no problems in the VC. However, when I switch to 2D view I get the mouse pointer issue talked about in other threads.

I understand this issue is not a PMDG issue, nor a matrox issue: it is caused by FSX not knowing how to render the newly stretched 2D panel across to the new resolution.

I managed to find the fix (and applied it to simpler planes). Reducing the size of the 2D panel by one third by editing the panel.cfg will tell FSX how to deal with the normal resolution x 3.

My problem with the NGX.

The NGX has a much more complex panel.cfg and it is not sufficient to change

window_size= 1.000, 1.000

to

window_size=.333, 1.000

in the main panel.

Has anyone edited the entire panel.cfg to work with a 3-monitor resolution?

Best regards

Antonio

Bert, hello.

Have your attempts been successful? If so, would you mind letting me have a copy of your panel.cfg to try out? Just an idea.

Daniel - thanks!!
