April 3, 201214 yr hello i activatrd service failure mode, an flew with this almost 60 houres; and is didnt see any failure' is this normal ? for the record ehen i finish flghit i save FSX FLT with NGX and next time i countinue from last position (Load FSX FLT) thanks
April 3, 201214 yr I think this is normal. In the Service based failures failures will occoure according to real 737NG maintenance reports. And you can be pretty sure that nothing will happen to a brand new airplane! Fly another 50.000 hours and some events will be more likly :P When you want more failures to happen then I beleave there's an option in which you can set a value of failures which will happen in some time. For example 1 failure every 20 hours. Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!
April 4, 201214 yr No failures in 60 hours? God I HOPE that's normal! :) Serviced based failures I don't think mean that something is going to happen anywhere in that service interval, it just means that you've turned on the POSSIBILITY that something in the service list MIGHT go wrong :) the other choice being the jet is immune to failures. If the simulation is modelled accurately, even with service based failures on, you might never see a problem bigger than a burned out light bulb in 1,000 hours of flying, and if you had thousands of people flying the sim on different computers, you might only see a catastrophic engine failure or structural failure at the same interval you see such things in the real world on the news... Of course if catastophic failures are your thing :) just schedule one via the failures page or set failure interval to something really short :) David Obando Home Airport KSFO System: Windows 11 Pro x64 22H2, Intel I9-13900KS Watercooled, Asus Maximus Z690 Extreme Motherboard, 32 Gb Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5 5600, ASUS RTX 4090 OC Edition, 4Tb NVME m.2 Array (2Tb x 2), Aorus FV43U 43" Display (144Mhz), Corsair Ax1600i powersupply, Marvel AQC107 10Gb Network adaptor, Comcast 1Gb Internet Service, Corsair 7000D Airflow Case 7x140mm, 4x120mm cooling fans.
April 4, 201214 yr Author ok, so to simulate unplanned failure in NGX the best way is to use the random option?
