April 4, 201214 yr Hi guys, any hints how to lean the A36 in a professional manner? Seems, that the Leanfinder is only a dummy, and the EGT does not really work either as it should (almost no needle movement when reducing fuel flow). Only way is reading the charts in the POH? April 4, 201214 yr I read in some post from a real A36 pilot that he leans it such that the needle of the manifold pressure and the fuel flow needle agree in position. I tried that the last flights and it seemed to work quite ok. Otherwise I try to listen to the pitch of the engine such that it runs smoothly. Rafael

April 15, 201214 yr I lean mine to peak EGT is what I lean it to but I'm going to try leaning it 20 degrees lean of peak and see what that does
