Since I just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit, I re-installing all of my PMDG products. I have the 737NG based version and the 800 and 900 series installed, and now I just installed the PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies. Now, I have the PMDG 747-400 freight and the PMDG 747-400 1.2 update, but I need to know which one to install next. I know you're supposed to install one before the other but I don't remember which.

I don't think it makes much difference, you can install in any order.

 

But if I could ask a sort-of related question. As far I know, the freighter and the passenger 747 were released as one product in FSX. Was that not the case early on or something?

It depends on if you have the newer installers or the older ones.

 

If it's the older ones they should go in chronological order:

 

NG 600/700

NG 800/900

747-400 passenger

747-400 cargo

MD-11

Yes, you must install them in the correct order. I think you may be correct about the FSX version. I was refering to FS9, but I didn't specify that.

Yes, it was the older ones. I have it figured out now. If you have the older version, you install the 1.2 update first before you install the 747-400F. In the 747-400F, I think it said you must have version 1.10 or later before it will install. I had version 1.01, which was the older one.
