Blueprint Simulations Scenery

Featured Replies

Just a quicky, I've noticed this for a while now with all blueprint sceneries, they all have big shimmering problems, I don't get this with any other payware sceneries but always blueprint. For example the terminals are always 'dancing', the walls move and flicker, the jetways from a fairly far distance start flickering uncontrollably but like I said before, this doesn't happen with any other paywares. Has anybody else got this problem with blueprint airports? I don't usually buy them because I don't find them very good but I prefer a somewhat realistic payware than default.

I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary compared to FSDT airports except the jetways not working issue.

I have their KMEM airport.

I have many BluePrint airports and have never had the issues that the OP stated. Are you running DX10 preview, if so that may be whats causing your problems.

I have no connections to BluePrint, but comments about their sceneries being ordinary or dull IMHO are overstated. I have airport sceneries from Imaginesim, FSDT, Fly Tampa and many more, but as I either fly into or out of these airports they are nice to look at, but my main interest is flying. If they degrade my FPS I am not too happy, but with BluePrint's airports I get GREAT frames, the airports are laid out just as my charts said they should be and they still look ten times better than the default airports and some payware ones too.

Yesterday I landed at JFK for the first time with the BP JFK scenery. For the first time since FSX came out, I did not have a significant drop in frames with JFK sceneries . There have been some comments about not enough detail in the airport's surrounding terrain features. Until I can buy a "supper computer" I will take BP's rendition of JFK any day. I currently own 7 BP airports and love them all especially my home airport Detroit, which no one has done a good job as BluePrint has done. My only complaint with BP is that they will not make airports with moving jetways. Having said that GSX works like a charm with all BP's airports.

Cheers

Bob
