DIY on the TQ (positioning)

Featured Replies

So, here's another little DIY on the TQ, since the previous position of the TQ (just left of the yoke) provided too high position, and I wasn't able to use the mouse properly.

My goal with this was to achieve two things:

Free access to the mouse, a more natural position of the levers while flying and most importantly, an easy removal (mostly onto the floor) so that I can move my chair normally.

Obviously I wasn't aiming for the real thing, as for that I would probably need a column yoke, but I think this gives a nice cosy position while flying, where I'm able to rest my hand on the armachair while holding the throttle.

If Paul reads this: I finally dared to go for spray-painting! I always thought its gonna make a mess in my cellar, but after I covered half of it with plastic covers, no biggie!!

Paul, your turn!

That looks realistic. I see that you kept both clamps on your desk. I also have one Saitek throttle and planning on buying a second soon.

Thanks,
