Problem with installing XML files...

Featured Replies

I recently downloaded the m7260 Maule plane , which is considered one of the best freeware for FS2004. Well I installed everything correctly, and put regular Gauge files into Gauges. But the aircraft does not in turn have virtual cockpit textures. There are 4 winrar files in the gauges file that have XML and bitmap files in them. Are these whats needed for the VC, if so how do I install them ? Ive tried putting them into gauges. I really need this plane for my videos. Thanks!

OK does anybody know how to instal this specific airplane then ? Or can help me via Skype ?

Patience Grasshopper, this is not a 24-hour-manned on-demand forum.

The files you are referring to have the .cab extension and should be placed in the main FS9 Gauges folder.

Alternatively you could copy them to both ...\FS9\Aircraft\Maule M7-260 panels\Panel.1 and ...\FS9\Aircraft\Maule M7-260 panels\Panel.2.

That way they will be deleted if you should decide to delete the plane.

If that does not fix the texture issue for the VC look in any of the texture folders for files with VC in the filename. There should be 4 in each folder.
