Short flight practicing approach

Featured Replies

Here are some shots from a very short flight from PHNG to PHJR to practice an approach: this time the VOR/DME approach to PHJR's runway 4 (chart: http://155.178.201.1...4/00761VD4R.PDF).

Bye bye, PHNG.

Okay, which way to go? I want to intercept the 273 radial from the HNL VOR outbound...

That way.

Here I am outbound on the 273 radial, flying towards the OSOFE IAF, which is 22,4 nm from the HNL VOR.

More great views.

Oops, already passed the IAF. Turn left quick for a short arc (if you can call it an arc).

Left again and there is PHJR already (I forgot to take screenshots of every phase of the flight  ). I am flying on the reciprocal of the 254 radial, heading of 074. The airfield is 8,4 nm from the VOR.

The approach doesn't put me straight in line with the runway, so I will have to land with a nice left turn.

Right. Not let's look for a nice hotel.
