737-700 will not climb past 4000ft?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

Wondering if anyone can help me out with a issue i seem to have run into.

last night i decided to do a quick defrag on my D: drive (this is where i have my FSX installed to) after doing so i went into FSX and booted up my A/C the PMDG 737-700 (without W/L) after takeoff i ran into a real problem. i couldn't get the bird past 4000ft! and it just couldn't reach its cruise speed. anything over 180kts is just to much of a struggle for her to get passed. i thought "huh thats strange?" so i tried changing the fuel load to 1/3 and the same with the payload but still no fix...and when the bird stops climbing it develops a very ugly nose over pitch as if she was incredibly light but blistering speed. im talking like 8 degrees nose down almost in level flight. ive uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck what so ever and its got me absolutely stumped!

Might i add if i ever try any of the other 737's they work no problem but the -700 seems corrupted.

My FSX loads with the default trike and its running on a 64-bit machine just to get the technical parts out of the way.

has anyone else come across this or who might have a fix?

Thanks guys! much appreciated.

EDIT: SP1c has also been installed.

Try deleting your FSUIPC4.ini file in the FSX\Modules folder - that's solved similar issues in the past. Also, do you have any hardware that has a physical gear lever or anything like that? We've had reports of similar stuff where the hardware sends the wrong command to the panel for the gear and it ends up messing up the flight model. Take off and try just using the G key instead of any hardware - see if it still happens.
