Panning Speed with Hat switch in vC

Featured Replies

Hi guys any idea how to slow panning speed in VC I am using Ezdok and my HAT switch?

Also when I load an AC and put it on runway as soon as I move a control aileron, throttle flaps anything the engine cuts out!! Very frustrating any advice cheers Wayne.

Never tried it but google search...

Cameras that can pan have their own pan speed parameter in the Cameras.cfg file:

PitchPanRate=30 // pan speed in degrees per second

HeadingPanRate=75

PanAcceleratorTime=0 // add this if not present for constant panning speed

The correct Cameras.cfg is NOT the one in the fsx folder; that's the backup. The active cfg is in the user's application data\Microsoft\FSX folder along with FSX.cfg

and

VC | PAN RATE | FSX

I find the horizontal pan rate in VC to fast for my liking, and wanted it similar to the vertical speed. To adjust the variable, open the CAMERAS.CFG (located with your FSX.CFG) at:

"Drive:Documents and Settings"User Name"Application DataMicrosoftFSX" folder -(Not the camera.cfg in the main FSX directory.)

Look under (CameraDefinition.002) (this is the virtual cockpit)and change:

HeadingPanRate=75

to

HeadingPanRate=45

This seems to make the vertical & horizontal roughly about the same speed, or tweak them to your preference.

Additionaly if you wanted to add the "lens flare effect" to your VC mode, simply change the variable ShowLensFlare=FALSE to TRUE.

Sounds like the control mapping is doing 2 functions, moving plane surfaces and cut fuel or ign.
