Button assignments in Linda don't have any effect

Featured Replies

I'm a new user. I've not got an MCP combo yet, but plan buying one, so I thought I better get to grips with LINDA.... and straight away found a problem. Its probably a school boy error... I must have missed something but I can find it.

I use a Saitek Pro flight Yoke with attendant single quadrant. Linda has picked this up OK. When I have FSX and LINDA loaded and sync'd, and I press a button on the yoke, Linda jumps to that button. I can select the command I want using the drop downs, but when I test the button in FSX (yes, I saved the config in Linda first) nowt happens.

What am I missing?

Welcome Drew.

are you aware that LINDA have to run permanently in the background while FSX is running?

Yeah.... I have Linda running alongside FSX.... and have actually got it working with some buttons/commands, but not others.... then all sorts of weird graphics glitches started happening.... first the windows fogged out... then the views seemed to have got scrambled... I think its the "old problem".... not enough memory to run, FSX AS2012, FSX extreme booster, Linda, PMDG aircraft and UK2000 extreme scenery.... I'm due a new PC anyway which is why I've held off buying the MCP Combo.

No worries, I'll go back to using FSUIPC for now and keep things simple until I get a new snorting seething liquid cooled beast of a PC!
