Is the following enough to run FSX with the QW757, FSDreamteam's New York JFK and clouds from REX on high (not the highest) settings?

Intel Core i7 4x 3,40GHz

8GB of RAM

Nvidia GTX560 1,2GB

Use THIS tool for best FSX.CFG tweaks. Also, what motherboard do you run? Can you OC in the BIOS?

To be honest, I don't exactly remember what motherboard I am using. But that actually doesn't matter anymore, that tool has helped alot. I'm now using an external fps limiter, and FSX now runs extremely well, even on the highest settings. Thanks for your help!

But I've got one question left, do I always have to start FSX via that file created by the external fps limiter?

Do you have an Nvidia card? If you do, download Nvidia Inspector and open the FSX profile. Then, select the option for Vsync and set it to 1/2 refresh rate.

Already done this. But do I have to start FSX always via that file created by the external fps limiter?

If you limit FSX via Nvidia Inspector, you do not need to use the external limiter.
