April 14, 201214 yr Guys I have an announcement.. I am starting to like this plane... 1 Bug fix/mod at a time...... What is everyones cruise setting or what are the real life cruise settings...... I have been cruising at: prop rpm = 1900-2000 torque: around 800 that gives me about 200lbs flow and around a 230ish ground speed... FL270 The ITT are fine... is that the only limiting factor?
April 15, 201214 yr According to the manual, the best speed you'll get at ISA and 9500 lbs is 199 KCAS/245 KTAS at 14,000 feet. Torque will be at the limit (1315 ft/lbs), and fuel flow at 311 PPH on each engine. ITT is another problem on this offering. The ITT should increase as you climb with PT6 engines, not decrease. ITT is often the limiting factor, and King Air pilots often set their power for maximum ITT and accept whatever torque the engines give them for the conditions.
