737NGX 800/900: Brakes not working

Featured Replies

Hi all, have been using the (utterly amazing) 737NGX 800/900 from PMDG alot since purchasing recently. I now have a new problem / bug issue.

The brakes and parking brakes when used using the default "." and "CTRL + . " commands do not work at all - when I press these commands, there is no response, and I cannot set park brake or brake the plane when its rolling.

The commands work absolutley fine on other planes (default, other payware, etc), I haven't changed anything at all, I am using FSX accelerator with latest SP. This is only a recent problem - it used to work fine with this plane.

Has anyone experienced this problem, or know why this is happening?

Many thanks in advance :-)

Apologies for the triple post... can a forum mod delete the previous two posts? Many thanks.

Calibrating your brakes before every session can help too.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I 'repaired' the install of the plane using the Repair option on the PMDG 737ngx install program. The plane has remained at SP1c, however the problem has been cured. I can now use both types of brakes properly.

On the Brake failure thing, I haven't used failures yet. The problem happened every time I started FSX and the plane, in whatever panel state or save state I loaded. Odd, but the repair install feature has cured it.

Happy to hear you're back in the air again and you shared a solution that worked for you.
