I have looked at the manuals and searched the cockpit, is there a way to change the guidance the HUD receives to FMS?

Please expand on your question, as it's unclear what you're asking when you write "change the guidance the HUD receives to FMS." When you replace the acronym with the words, perhaps you'll see what I mean. "Is there a way to change the guidance the heads up display receives to flight management system?"

If you're asking if it's possible for the HSI/CDI on the HGS to get info from the FMC LNAV course, no - the real thing (at least the version that was modeled) doesn't support that. The HGS actually has its own flight director that is separate from the ones in the main airplane in terms of how it technically operates. That's not really what the HGS is designed for anyway - it's made for low visibility takeoffs and approaches.
