April 21, 201214 yr Hi, I was wondering would someone be able to shed some light on what engines they use? From what I know CFM56 for the B738 but what varient? And have no clue regarding the MD80! Cheers,
April 21, 201214 yr Current 737NGs use the CFM-56-7Bs. Rated from 19,500 up to 27,000 (?) lbs. of thrust. MD-80s use different variants of the JT8Ds. Think low-bypass, noisy, and awesome!
