Landing Light

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

I'm just wondering if anybody has been able to get the landing light on the C337H to "work" - that is, to illuminate the runway / ground when coming in to land?

It seems pointless to me to have such a nice VC lighting system, but not be able to do any night work with it. I have tried landing at a few GA airports at night, and most are nearly impossible to land at safely without a working landing light. You are really just guessing at where there touchdown point is.

Thanks guys.

Cheers -- Pete.

Have you tried Control-L on the keyboard?

G'day 'n2649c'.

Thanks for your reply.

Landing lights now "work" (from the switch too).

Not sure what the problem was, but I was forced to try an "Install DVD - Repair" of FSX last night as it was 'hanging' at the splash screen after installing some new scenery. I found out (3 hours of trying different fixes) the 'hang' was being caused by a corrupt 'logbook' - fixed that with "fsxlogrecovery11".

So whatever was stopping my C337H landing light from illuminating the runway, it is now fixed.
