What's With PAI Models?

Featured Replies

Haven't needed to go to Project AI in awhile. But since my hard drive crashed, I'm trying to recoup what I've lost.At PAI, it seems I can't download the aircraft models. Paintkits are just textures now, where the models used to be.And the PAI website gives no information on how to acquire individual models. I don't want packages and auto-installers.Anybody know I can accomplish this? I'm now officially lost.ThanksRick

Yes I am curious about this myself. I want to get a couple of the PAI models for my Meridian VA AI, but I can't :(

The PAI installer program, downloaded separately, is used to install models too nowadays. It is actually a quite nice solution, faster and less error prone than installing the models manually. Also unlike usual autoinstallers the installation program doesn't add stuff to the registry or add/remove programs list, it just unpacks and copies files. All models are in the official/certified area.- Oyvind

Hi Oyvind,auto-installers are one of my pet peeves - too often they add unneccessary start menu items, alter your FS settings etc. etc.But I am impressed with the PAI installer, it does exactly what it's supposed to do and does it well with no unwanted side effects :). Excellent work!Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg

The PAI installer gives you the option to install the stuff manually too.

Rick & Fred,Perhaps try under Official Files > PAI Models & Flight Dynamics packages. I can't verify their contents from this computer, but it might be what your looking for.Kevin
