F2 key

Featured Replies

Guys,I'm having a little problem regarding the deploy of reversers on all my aircrafts, except the PSS Airbus, since they use the + and - keys to change the throttle position. When I touch down, with throttle idle, and try to make reverse thrust deploy, it doesn't a continued reverse behaviour, this is, in a moment it works, in a second returns to idle, in the second after reverses again, and sometimes it starts to reverse for 3 or 5 seconds...I use a Thrustmaster yoke, where I set a button to act like F2, however, I continue to try the F2 key itself and with the same results.Any clue? Thanks in advance.Miguel

Make sure that your throttle control on the yoke/joystick is calibrated properly. Leave about 1-2% 'slack' in the calibration. IOW, don't pull the throttle lever all the way to the stop... :)"Reverse Thrust" will simply NOT work unless the throttle(s) are at absolute 0 (zero), since RT is reported back to the sim as negative "thrust" numbers...Hint: before calibrating the throttle, simply press the F1 key to force the throttle(s) to zero first and then press and HOLD the F2 key until full RT is achieved. This will confirm that RT is indeed working as it should. Then, go calibrate your controller's throttle axis.

Thanks,I'll give it a try. I completly forgot to calibrate the axis, since it worked always fine, and I didn't figured that it could be that the thrust wasn't fully 0.Thanks again. I'll report tonight.Miguel

Or:Calibrate the throttle axis normally (so the full range) and then, in menu Options-Controls-Assigments, add a little NullZone to the thottle axis.Even with a perfectly calibrated throttle axis, the axis might "jitter" a bit even at idle (especially with gameport throttle axis) causing FS to see a non-zero throttle axis. Which is what's causing your problem.Rob Barendregt

Hi Rob and Bill,Thank you very much for the help. How could I forget that small detail!!I implemented a small dead zone on the throttle axis and voil
