April 29, 201214 yr Can anyone enlighten me on how to get the Project Airbus A319 & A320 to work with the SMS/Overland 2D panel. Ive been told the Overland VCs sadly wont work with the Project Airbus but the 2D shouldnt be an issue tho a simple copy and paste of the SMS/Overland panel folder into the Project Airbus folder isnt as simple. The doors interface built into the 2D panel on the shorthaul SMS Airbus fleet doesnt seem to work for all doors on the project Airbus. Clicking on the main front door button will open the door but trying to open the rear and cargo doors doesnt register... Quite technical stuff but would really like the know how. April 29, 201214 yr Hi Brad. I've notice you've asked this question several times in the past, so would guess you're still struggling with this door issue. I don't own the SMS/Overland Airbuses so I won't be able to fully help, but might offer some clues. In order to get the door interface gauge (that was designed to work with the SMS/Overland model), to function with a different model (Project Airbus), you will have to edit the SMS/Overland door interface gauge. The question I have, what type of gauge file is used with the SMS/Overland panel? If it is a XML gauge, then you have a very good chance of making the proper changes. If the gauge file ends in ".gau" extension, then your out of luck, in which case you could design your own door gauge for SMS/Project Airbus merge. Have you ever edited or made any XML gauges before? If I owned the SMS/Overland panel, and if the gauges are XML, I would offer to make the changes for you, but I don't own it... Another solution would be to search the file library and see if you can find a gauge that opens the doors. RJ
April 29, 201214 yr Author Hi fella Yeah still a small area of frustration. The Overland/SMS gauge files are packed into a rar file and within all seem to be XML files (i have 0% knowledge with these) Im pretty fluent with AI traffic, and afcad editing etc but this is all here is new to me...
