PMDG MD11 VC with TripleHead2Go Mouse Flickering

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I was wondering if there is any solution to a continues mouse flickering accompanied with a drop of frames down to 9 to 10 in average when I load the MD11 with Virtual Cockpit on my system.

Current Setup up:

i7-2600 3.40 Ghz

Ram 12 GB

Windows 7 64 Bits

Two GeForce GTX580

Triple Head 2Go Digital Edition running at 168X1050 {3x1} on Card # 1

Samsung 24 inches Monitor on video card # 2.

I’ve look for solutions. They present clear solution for 2D panels, but as I’m not opening them I wonder with this problem shows up with the VC.

Best Regards

Rodrigo

By the way guys.

It happens also with the Jumbo 747. However it does not affect the Jetstream nor the NGX.

were you able to fix this issue? I am having the same exact problem with the 747. PMDG was unable to help me because of the 3 displays =( Have you attempted to resize your windows at all in the panel.cfg file? Thats when the problem started occuring for me. Now the mouse flickers right when the aircraft loads in default VC view.

Hellow,

Have any one found a solution to this issue??

I have the TH2G with 3 23 inch monitors in surround mode.

Its very frustrating because I´m in a middle of a long haul flight (4 hours into the flight) with VC and I forgot about this bug and open the 2d view and there goes the FPS and the mouse starts flickering.

I have heard of a solution that you have to edit the panel.cfg file but the examples that I have seen looks like a very complex procedure.

Hey kaspern83, why pmdg didn´t helped you?

Cheers,

I was having this problem with pretty much any aircraft (I don't have any PMDG) when I was running Eyefinity; whenever I'd try to bring up a 2d, I would also run into the same problem. I think you basically have to resize the 2d windows. I know there was a thread on it somewhere here a long time ago. I'll try to track it down here in a bit. This problem, plus the natural loss in framerates, it why I abandoned the 3-monitor setup.

Okay, here's one; it's not the same thing I remember, but might be up your alley.

Oh yes, I am very very familiar with this issue, it is not PMDG or any addon manufacturers fault, it is actually Microsoft that as usual didn't do stuff right.

The problem is that PMDG loads the 2D panel first, on Eyefinity, Nvidia Surround or Tripple Head 2 Go, the resolution is off the traditional coordinates and Microsoft can't size it correctly.

As such it get stuck in a loop and will only resize the view of the window for 2D, but never draw the panel, all you get is half a black screen below it.

The remedy for this situation involves editing the panel.cfg and change the ratios to reflect your new monitor configuration.

Sadly there is no quick fix, you will have to change it for each and every aircraft, hopefully the next PMDG release having VC only will be the end of all this 2D madness.
