May 3, 201214 yr I've just got the Aerosoft Catalina, which incidentally looks like a lot of fun. however, for some reason, it is not being recognised by LINDA and it shows a LUA error in the gui. Also, there was an error message that popped up directly on completion of the Catalina installation, unsure whether it has any relevance. If someone could please help with this I'd be grateful, cheers fellas. Here are a couple of screen captures that I hope will help... May 4, 201214 yr Commercial Member Howard, First screenshot is not related to LINDA (I believe). Errors on the second screenshot should be fixed by deleting config-hid.lua file from your FSX\Modules\linda-cfg\aircrafts\Aerosoft Catalina folder. Also you should disable MCP Combo in LINDA settings to get rid of MCP com-port error. However, for some reason when I change views from the VC to an external view, the left engine dies? I'm sure this is an Aerosoft query, but I don't suppose you know what it could be? Also could there be any consequences of deleting (I turned it _OFF actually) the config-hid.lua, what does it do? May 4, 201214 yr Commercial Member I don't own Catalina, so cannot test what it could be with it's engine. You can try to temporary disable LINDA and check if the trouble dissappear. As for config-hid.lua - this file contains your joystick buttons assignments. I your case there was an error because this file contains settings for device you don't have (may be you switched it off or your file was generated on other system for other joysticks). So deleting the file clears all your joystick assignments made in LINDA for this particular aircraft. So I guess I need to pursue this in another thread somewhere.. Thanks again for your help, appreciated.
