May 4, 201214 yr I have a question regarding .ast files. On the Map Screen page in ASE, there is an option to drag and drop a weather set onto a specific location on the map. These are shown in a tree view on the right of the map and are just generalizations (clear skies .ast, instrument conditions, etc.). 1) Where are these files stored (directory)? 2) Can we create our own? 3) If we can, how? Thanks, Rick Hobbs
May 9, 201214 yr 1) The weather files are located at: Drivename>Users>Username>AppData>Roaming>HiFi>AS2012>Weather 2) Yes 3) Create a metar using notepad. Name the file and save it to the above location with an extension of .ast
May 24, 201214 yr I have inquired on this topic too. I have discovered that you can use the Find Wx function to find specific weather conditions and then save the Metar which converts to an ast file. Rename the ast file to reflect the weather conditions and then you can drag and drop the newly created ast file to any location. John John Pipilas Win 10 - i7 2600k CPU - AMD Radeon R9 Fury X GPU
