Kill ATIS

Ok, thanks a lot, gents! B)

Looks like entirely my own fault ( as usual.. ). Have to shamefully admit that i didn't know that we have a working Com2 radio in FSX...

I just tried manually tuning ATIS in Com2 and contacted Ground via ATC menu which was automically tuned into Com1. This is exactly what i heared during my flights, two transmissions at the same time driving me crazy.

One thing left : do i understand correctly that it can happen that an ATIS transmission is automatically tuned in Com2 whenever i am in the vicinity of an IFR airport ?

Treetop, thanks for the 'parked' frequencies tip ! And yes i have EditVoicepack 4. It's great ! Only wish we could have more diversity in the voices but i know full well that's a fat chance probabely.

Thanks very much again for your help, guys. Much appreciated ! :drinks:

Cheers,

Jan

As far as I'm aware; no. It's usually set up to a frequency that's fairly common, which means that some airports you fly over will have that frequency in use for their ATIS. Normally, if you still get the problem after disabling COM2, you might have a VOR in one of the NAV radios that broadcasts the ATIS over the voice channel of the VOR. But I'm not even sure if that's modeled in FSX, so if the problem persists it might be an FSX screw-up.

Thank you, Intrance ! I'll start my flights with 118.00 tuned in Com2 from now on and see what happens.

Thanks again!
