Traffic030528.bgl

Hello,Just switched over to windows XP and installed TTools and my Traffic030528.bgl file is called Traffic030528.bgl.passive and of course is located in sceneryworldscenery folder. When I ran TTools for the first time, it doesn't recognize or the traffic 030528.bgl nor the source files show up in the TTools window.I have My Traffic 2004 installed whether that makes a difference or not.Could someone explain why I have these oddities? Thanks,Mike

First, the default traffic file is called traffic030528.bglNow, the ***passive may be a result of a program backing up your original file. Re-name it and get rid of the passive and TTools should recognize it.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Thanks Jim. I just renamed it to traffic030528.bgl and TTools recognized it.Another question... After de-compiling and re-compiling it shows I have 5520 airports, 59 aircraft, and 29743 flight plans. Right after FS4 was released someone had a program, that when using TTools, resulted in figures well above what is listed above. Would you remember what that program was/is and who the author would be?Thanks again,Mike

Those numbers are right on. In the default plan that is what's included. I too are a little confused as to what you are trying to do here! You own My Traffic and yet you are wanting to add more traffic? If you are looking for the My Traffic flights: in that same Scenery/World/Scenery folder I'll say that there is another traffic.bgl file. THAT'S OK!! FS04 can process multiple traffic files. The word traffic doesn't even need to be present. You can use TTools to locate the file.ATIM is one program:http://www.molitor-home.de/fsHope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg

Hey Jim,No need to get confused. I know the figures I mentioned are correct default. It's just when I was stuck on this I happened to remember someone having a heck of a lot more airports, etc. Maybe something he programmed himself and I saw it here in the library.NO, I don't need anymore traffic. Was just curious. Thanks to both of you, I'm right where I want to be.P.S. While we are on this subject of My Traffic 2004 v1 (were we?), I notice a conflict between MT and EditVoicePack. EVP doesn't want to work correctly with MT installed. I know I can go to their forums, but since I had yours eyes, thought I would mention it. Do either of you have both their products installed? Thanks again,

Hi Mike,The number of airports in the default traffic.bgl doesn't really matter anymore (unlike FS2002), as FS can now use multiple traffic files. So the additional airports will be included in the MyTraffic file.As to EVP, as far as I know MT installs its own callsigns, so this could cause a conflict. The callsigns are contained in the file 'USEnglishBig.gvp', which is in your sound folder. This is the file that EVP changes, and if MyTraffic has altered it in some way, this could cause the problem.Cheers,Gosta.http://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg

If you want to use EVP after installing My Traffic, you have to reinstall the default GVP file from the FS CD and then update it using EVP. It should install 99% of the entries added by My Traffic.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
