Sorry to highlight again an old thread.

But i had to reinstall Flight and lost my standard.xml

Now i tried to do the the changes in the standard.xml to redcuce the pitch trim increments.

But it looks that i does not work. Did something change?

<Entry>
      <Index>7</Index>
      <Down>
        <EventName>FlightControls.PitchTrimDownIncrement
</EventName>
        <Repeat>256.000000</Repeat>
      </Down>
    </Entry>
    <Entry>
      <Index>11</Index>
      <Down>
        <EventName>FlightControls.PitchTrimUpIncrement
</EventName>
        <Repeat>256.000000</Repeat>
      </Down>
    </Entry>

I would love to edit that standard XML file to do this. I have an editor and moded xml files before in FS9, FSX, and P3D but not yet in MS Flight. My problem is I can't find it. Could someone please display the path to it?

%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Flight

Thanks for the path. Got it done. Just needed notepad to edit it. I have a Saitek Yoke. For it I recommend a value of 128.000 or 256.000.The default is 32.000.  I tried 64.000 and it was still too course. With 128.000 it was good but I like 256.000 as it was nice for fine cruise tuning of the elevator trim but it is a bit slow for post take off trimming.

Found the failure.

Somehow the standard.xml was messed up. There were two entries for my Joystick for Pitch Trim.

Deleted the first one and now it works.
