May 4, 200422 yr When I takeoff RW heading 240, wind direction from 215/15 I still have to use right rudder-pedal with the PSS Airbus/PMDG Boeing. I thought I should press left rudder-pedal into the wind, but the aircraft is drifting the wrong way - into the wind. Why?(FSUIPC reg. ver , FSMeteo ver. 6.4, Cirrus-pedals)
May 4, 200422 yr It's the weather-vane effect. Wind pushes against the side or tail of the aircraft causing the nose of the aircraft to drift toward the wind.

With a left crosswind, you should feel the need to apply right rudder to keep the plane tracking straight down the runway during the takeoff run.
