  4. Forget the checklist. of course the spoilers and autobrake is armed long before final. This is only the scenario I fly - and I follow the 747 cecklist.This is not an ILS landing.I disengage the autopilot to manually fly and land the aircraft. You say that I also should manually disengage the autothrottles as well? do I understand you correct? Roar K

Can someone please confirm that this is correct: Scenario: Established final VFR, A/T (autothrust) engaged, eg. 165kts IAS, FD (flight director) engaged - AP autopilot at 3000 ft - autopilot disengaged - A/T still engaged GEAR DOWN FLAPS SET SPOILERS ARMED AUTOBRAKES 2 and at touchdown the spoilers will not deploy, engines wil NOT go to IDLE of itself but remain the speed (165kts) and NO autobrakes.(SET 2) Remark: this is NOT an AUTOLAND but a regular VFR land. When performing an AUTOLAND,: - the engines goes to IDLE 50ft above, SPOILERS DEPLOY and AUTOBRAKES set in. This happens to me. Roar K
  6. SOLVED: I had to change the resolution in FS9 to 1280 X 1024 and now its OK.

  8. I have installed a new videocard, but now my aircrafts and panels are blurry and unsharp. PC specs: Dell XPS Gen4 3.0Ghz, 2GB Ram, video Sapphire Radeon Ati 5770HD 1GB, I use anti alising both in FS and on videocard. Does anyone have a solution?

  10. I had a successful flight from FACT (South Africa, Cape Town) to SBGL (Brazil, Rio) in my MD11. Everything went just ok - fuel 80 000kgs - first FL 320 then FL 380 and LW (landing weight) 191000 kgs. But in an autoland when rolling out I switched off the autopilot, pressed the "." (for brakes) and at 60kts switched the RTO know to OFF.BUT the aircraft was stuck on the runway. FS9 indicated the BRAKES ON and I couldnt move/taxi the aircraft. WHY?Roar

  14. ....as I said: ENGINES RUNNING - ALL THE SYSTEMS OK AS "AFTER START CEHCKLIST" - no cold and dark -but still its dark LOL :-) :( . The RED band in the left corner is THE BRAKES message. Only the MD-11 has this problem. The 737`s and 747 is OK. I had to REINSTALL the PMDG MD-11 and everything is OK. Roar
  15. here is what happened with my MD-11 ( STARTED FS9 WITH DEFAULT AIRCRAFT CESSNA 172 | SELECT AIRCRAFT | MD-11 PMDG | ENGINES RUNNING and no loading AIRAC) after installing LDS767
  16. SOLVED: I had to reinstall SP3 AIO from the LEVELDSIM - site. I think the FMC was reading the AIRAC from a wrong folder. After update everything is OK with the AIRAC 0901. ROAR

  19. you can rotate more than 2.5 degrees, but it says ROTATE 2.5 DEGREES PER SECOND. Roar
  20. This was funnY!.....puuhhh. I did the BIG3 arrival RWY 27R and approached BIG at 2500ft LOC alive but didnt catch G/S. I had to manually descend until G/S alive, then the AP disconnected about 200ft AGL of itsself. Roar
  21. you have to put in FROM/TO DEST/ORIG of course, select RWY for landing and you can try EXTend Runway for a fix before landing. Roar

I had a very successful flight doing this: - taxi - arm spoilers | autobrakes RTO | press AUTOFLIGHT | FLAPS SET- LINE UP | LANDING LIGHTS ON | HI-INTENSITY LIGHTS ON | press PROF and NAV- TAKE OFF | release BRAKES | throttles to 1.10 EPR | move throttles further until you hear a CLICK | V1 | VR | V2 | above 400ft AGL press AUTOFLIGHTENJOY THE REST!Roar
