FSX performance before and after setup guide?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.

Just wanting to know whether anyone here has used the fsx install guide below and if so have you found it worth while. Im considering doing it, but its going to take a bloody long time to do. I use ORBX scenery within nz and australia usually. Canberra, im getting early to mid teens fps wise which is a little annoying to fly in with the NGX. Your thoughts are most appreciated. :)

Hi i had the same problem as you only getting between 12 to 18 fps in vc on the ground and in the air was getting around between 20 to 25 fp in vc thats with all my sliders max out except for a1 and water settings. All i done now is to use 3/4s in the auto gen density setting and now iam getting on the ground in vc between 23 to 26 fps and in the air in vc 35 to 39 fps. In 2d in the air iam up to between 70 to 80 . so just changing one setting in the auto gen density setting has made all the differene to my set up.This way only takes you a minute to see if it works for you if not you can try using the guide but i havnt done that and havnt done any major tweaks either

It seems to be luck which can make or break an fsx setup. Haha. I have an i5 2500k and 560ti setup. With auto gen at normal, water at low 2.0, with no rex clouds im getting 30 fps(locked) and then as i start to descend and head towards canberra airport, it drops right down to 12-18fps. YSCB isnt even that big!
