Clouds cast shadows....

....that would definitely be my favourite feature in FS10. Don't you think?Alex

Agreed. You can see ground shadows in VFR Photograhic Southern England scenery but sadly these are always in the same place. Wink!Peter Sydney Australia

>....that would definitely be my favourite feature in FS10.>Don't you think?>>Alex What makes you think there will be an FS10? Ron

Ron,frankly I don't fall for the panic statements. I think that MS makes a lot of money with FS. And even if they take the strategic decision to discontinue the series I think it is likely that they sell it to another company which will take over the project.Be as it may, even if there is no FS 10, we have many years left until the hardware is there to let FS9 run with 3 monitors, everything maxed out and with all the add-ons and heavy scenery at 40 fps. So I don't worry one bit. :-lolAlex

"....that would definitely be my favourite feature in FS10. Don't you think?"Yup. Cloud shadows is one of my favorite features of X-Plane ;) so it would be great if FS also had them.

Yeah and the biggest FPS killer goes to..............

>Yeah and the biggest FPS killer goes to..............LOL, that was my first thought. Cool, but killer on the FPS.

Now again these strange rumours... I wonder what the fde guys know that we ordinary lethal don't?? :-)/fredrik granfors

So what. Exactly like FS weather today. It's killing the fps and yet I havn't heard of anybody that has set his clouds to simple and 2D to pull 40 fps.Instead one of the most popular add-ons makes it even worse and adds a ton of additional cloud layers :+ .Alex

Sure, sure that wasn't meant as critizism. With the MR1 it has really become a fabulous program.Alex

>Now again these strange rumours... I wonder what the fde guys>know that we ordinary lethal don't?? :-)>>/fredrik granfors I had replied again, but my message wouldn't post. Hmm..... Guess any details will be handeled privately, in email. Ron

Jim,Does active sky have cloud shadows?I guess not, right?Daniel

Which is an interesting off topic point. If there was to be no more FS, would X-Plane be able to step up to the plate and provide us with at least what we are used to in the MSFS series before going past it?...CheersChris Porter:-outta
