What's the latest on Super Flight Planner?

Featured Replies

It works for me, however I don't remember right now how I did it. I'll have a look and report back if I can see what your problem might be. OK I've looked. In case you didn't find it, the database wizard should be (in WinXP)in Start>All Programs>Central Park>Super Flight Planner>SFP Database Wizard. On the first screen select the version of FS you are running and click OK. Then all the scenery files should show up in the box. You can uncheck anything that you don't want included but I had everything checked including all the options at the bottom. Then click on Convert and wait. I don't remember how long it took to compile the database but it was probably several minutes. If none of the above makes sense, check that you installed the latest beta version (sfp3b4.zip), and if so try reinstalling. I don't know of a newer version yet, but this one works well for me with FS9. The only problem I have is lack of documentation at present, but I think I can get it to do most things I want.

Are you seeing the things I described before the instruction to click on Convert? If so I'm not sure what the problem is. I'm running FS9 with Win XP and it worked first time for me.

Obviously this version does have some problems. I had downloaded an earlier version which would not get past the convert stage, I re-downloaded ( after having to sign up for yahoo) and re-installed it. All of the scenery files appear to be there, but shortly after convert is pressed, the database wizard crashes and wants to report to MS......think that I will wait for the final release.Ed GreenKCLThttp://www.panelshop.com/DEV.jpg

It seems that it works with some systems but not others. If a new version comes out I will install it just to get the instructions!

I've had no problems at all with the last two versions on 3 different PCs-- 1st install was my old PC ( K7S5A/xp2000/ 512DDRAM)2nd was on my wifes GA7/AMD1000Mhz/512SDRAM - connected to me by WideFS.(When shes not using it, it effectively gives me a third monitor via the LAN.)3rd was on my new PC just yesterday (MSI KT6V-LSR/xp3000/768DDRAM.SFP did the conversion first time on all three with no problems at all.Keep trying - it does work.Dave
