Cannot see any Vatsim traffic?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I am new to VATSIM, and I just downloaded squawkbox4. I am able to connect to servers and squawkbox4 says that I am connected and I can hear communication properly and I can also speak. However, I am unable to see any VATSIM traffic, and I can only see AI traffic. I know for sure that there are planes and controllers at the airport that I am at as I heard ground communication for that airport(KMEM).

What am I doing wrong? I can't seem to find a proper answer anywhere?

My procedure for connecting:

1.Start FSX

2. Select planes and yadayadaya

3. Click connect on SB4, wait for connection established message

4. click Fly now on FSX

Hi,

Have you tried to disable AI traffic to see what is visable when connected? Try posting at the Vatsim SB forum:

Here is a link to Bojote's Squakbox SMS generator which supports any AI traffic package:

Have a look at this post regarding invisable traffic at the SB forum's:

ahh! It appears to have been some firewall issues on my network. All is well now, but thank you very much.

That's great news, good to hear.
