Unable to Maximize in Windowed Mode With 3 Monitors in SLI

Featured Replies

I am using FSX with 2 GeForce GTX 560Ti in SLI configuration. This allows a spanning across my 3 23" Acer monitors. I have a 4th 15" monitor hooked up to GeForce 8500GT to host panels, maps, charts etc.

Because of my preference to use the 4th monitor for panels etc, I prefer to fly in windowed mode. But I have encountered a problem just recently. When I start FSX, it starts in a small window in the centre monitor. If I maximize the window, it maximizes to only that one centre monitor, despite the bezel corrected resolution being 6053x1080. The only way I can optimize my display across the 3 monitors is to minimize FSX display and resize it using the resize handles. But, even when closed properly, I have to redo this each time I restart FSX. In full screen mode, it spans all 3 monitors perfectly, but I lose the ability to undock to the 4th monitor.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I am overlooking? Any advice?

From memory, if you open the nvidia driver options (along the top of the driver dialogue) there is an option to force a maximised window to fit to one monitor. Try deselecting that.

Hi DescendDescend ...

Yes ... that seems to have done the trick. Thank you. It must have reverted back to a defualt setting with my recent driver update.
