June 5, 201213 yr I have just spent an hour searching the forums here and elsewhere and I can not find out what the best approach is to animate ship movement in FSX. I found lots of old tools that appear to be totally useless in FSX. Lots of discussion about the topic but much was outdated. Can someone please advise me on sources of info on how to animate ships in FSX? Bryan Wallis aka "fltsimguy" Maple Bay, British Columbia Near CAM3

June 5, 201213 yr It is quite simple in fact. Ships can have "flight" plans just like airplanes. You must provide some points for the routes and then compile the "traffic". Try Lamont Clark's AI Boat Traffic Compiler, get it here: http://lc0277.gratisim.fr/boat/ I hope that the download still works, but if not, just say so. I should still have it somewhere on my hard drive. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
June 6, 201213 yr Author Hey, Luis...once again you are so very helpful....I looked all over the place for tools and never came across this one. The d/l worked. I will set about reading and giving it a go. Thanks so much. I'm thinking that this tool should be uploaded to FSDeveloper along with instructions. June 7, 201213 yr Author I have successfully after much learning been able to schedule a ferry going to and from each terminal on either end of the route. But I have a problem with the main ferry sitting at the dock at the same time. Don't understand how to get rid of the static version.
