A bit confused about Rex Essential

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I am now reinstalling FSX and all ym addons and heard about REX Essentials. I already own Rex, so do I need to pay to upgrade to essentials? Also, do I need to download the whole client again or can I just update?

Thanks :)

Also sorry but, do I need to reinstall Overdrive over the top of essentials? I understand now that I can just download it. Thanks

Hi

It is free to all existing addons. If you purchased it as a download from the flight sim store then you need to log into your account and redownload the (updated) file, which I believe is around 4GB.

If you have the CD version (like me) then you need to log into the forums and download the 1.2GB update.

You, however must verify yourself on their forum

If you own overdrive then you cant get essentials yet. They are making an update for that soon.

Not entirely true.

You can uninstall REX 2.0 OD and then install vanilla Essentials....then upgrade to Essentials Overdrive when it's released.

You just can't install Essentials over REX 2.0 OD.
