June 13, 201213 yr Is this better than a i7 2700K? EDIT: I meant the i7 3950/3960 sorry.-for the title.
June 13, 201213 yr Basic yes, clock for clock perf. But FSX like high clocks fast rams. It dont eat à 5Ghz I7 at 4.5Ghz Regards Hasse http://
June 13, 201213 yr There's no i7 3950, I guess you mean i7 3930K i7 3960X, the 6 core Sandy Bridge for socket 2011. Those are no better than the quad Sandy Bridge (I7 2600K, I7 2700K, I5 2500K) clock for clock and core for core, and slightly (5%) slower than Ivy bridge (I5 3750K, I7 3770K) They all overclock more or less the same, so the main difference is the core count.
June 13, 201213 yr Does the amount of cores make any difference if you are running REX with FSX, for example?
June 13, 201213 yr Here's a web site I use to compare CPUs... http://www.cpubenchm...h_end_cpus.html They compare graphics cards and other things too. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090
