Flight One ATR72-500 profile?

Featured Replies

Hi out there,

does anybody knew if there is a profile for the ATR72-500 from Flight One - if yes please post a link.

Tahnks Tom

No, there's no module for the ATR ...

Is the ATR so advanced, meaning system deep? I think not...

Don't work the most FSX standard functions?

Hi guenseli,

The thing is she is quite advanced. Maybe one of the most system depth beneath pmdg, ifly, maddog....she has a good working FMS which is very sophisticated. Yes the optic is not what we expect in 2012. It comes with a 500page manual and it is really necessary to do the tutorial flight. I am only on FSX for those planes with stem depth which I do not find on Xplane cause this was my main sim and will be after the beta phase. planes like PMDG NGX, ATR72 F1, MD82 Maddog with this system depth and custom FMS does not really exist in XP it begans with CRJ100 now. But there is no NGX no ATR no MD82 and it will last a while before they will exist.

To come back to the ATR72 F1 - yes this plane seems to be worth to have if you like system depth and custom FMS Autopilot - and it is not FSX based function as far as I see - it is mostly custom.....it would be worth to have a Linda config file for it.

Cheers Tom

Hmmm.. a question: is this the digital aviation ATR?

or is it a separate Flight1 development?

I just heard about the DA ATR without VC ...

Never heard about a Flight1 ATR?

Maybe the Author came from DA or worked with them. Here is the link to the F1 ATR. You must know it. It is there for a long time and it exists for FS2004 also.

Maybe the author is Hans Hartmann.

Ah ok, then it is from Digital Aviation.

Yes, this bird is very advanced, however they never managed it to build a VC for FSX.

And at least, it is a port over from FS9.

Both criterias are a No-Go for me, so from my side there will not be a LINDA module for it ...

sorry!

Hmm there is a VC in the FSX version of course. Maybe it was without as long it was under DA. But since a while they are selling it with VC. The PMDG VC is much more advanced with much better textures - but they did it quite well for the ATR - and it is a hell of work for a cold and dark startup - so deep is the system :-)Kind Regards Tom

Hi,

yes you are right it is not a real FSX plane, I discovered so much issues that I asked F1 for a refund. I do not have time and nerves to study their support forum just to get this plane to work properly. I feel sorry for this nice plane, a new model in a PMDG quality would be a good selling product - but the time for the F1 ATR is over - my point of view.

Sorry for the discussion and asking for module - but I discovered all that problems during dying this airplane. And the first thing with a new model is to connect it to my VRInsight MCP panel this I do on both FSX and XPlane.

BTW is there any other plane with a working module which is comparable to the PMDG NGX on the market - I do not believe all the advertisings anymore - not a bit.

Kind Regards Tom

I was confused!

Digital Aviation made the Fokker 70/100.

This bird is without VC!

I mixed these both completely up!

yes, indeed, the ATR looks promising. I wonder that I haven't been focused on this bird before.

The VC looks a bit FS9ish, but I'll look these days if its worth to buy it.

(no promises though; I think I would not buy it - and even if, I can't say if its possible to make a module)

Many thanks for the hint to this bird!

EDIT:

Ah, we've been posting at the same time ;-)

what do you mean with comparable?

A direct competition is the IFly and we have a user made module here, which is working well according to other users.

But then you have two 737 ...

I have as airliner only also the MD11, many functions do work with the Combo, but not the displays.

If you ask about system deepth modeled aircraft I can highly recommend A2A.

Take the B377 and you have fun the next few month learning this old bird ...

All A2A aircraft (except the P47) have complete LINDA modules!

I do not know "normal airliners" compared to the NGX.

A "small airliner" is maybe the JS41, of course there's a good working module available, too

Funny posting at the same time - thanks for your hints - about the ATR go to the forum and look at it before you purchase it! It is a huge forum :-)

Cheers Tom
