Icon Landing Challenge 3 Army Airfield "lights please"

Featured Replies

Couple of questions on this challenge, I am guessing that one is stuck with a night only approach to this airfield which looks like it is lit with one 25 watt bulb. It appears that there is no landing light visible from the aircraft, is that correct, cause I can't find anyway to toggle the LL on? I have already managed to crash multiple times and the closest I got to the runway was hitting the stripe lines on the departure end. :Nerd:

Anyone have any luck nailing this one?

Your landing lights automatically come on when you press 'L'. Note that it's a higher altitude (6190 ft) so you'll need a little more speed than at lower altitudes. And land with the sun at your back... there's a pretty hefty wind, and you want to land into it.

Just tried it again. (It's at dusk, not night.) Take your time and use a long approach to get it to settle down.

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.
