June 23, 201213 yr I have a system with a Radeon HD4850 512G PCIe card. I have aquired a Asus EN GT 530. I think it's 1gb. Would this be a upgrade that was worth it? I use FS9 very well with my present setup. Just curious before I go ripping cards & drivers for a waste of time. Thanks for any input. June 23, 201213 yr I know the 4850 runs FSX very well, but then again, so do you if it is presently in your PC, hoever, the 530 is a better bit of kit, so it is probably worth slinging it in there and seeing how it does, chances are it will be an improvement, and it'd take what, maybe 15 minutes to sling it in and test it? June 23, 201213 yr A HD4850 is quite a bit faster than a GT530. I don't know, a GTS250 would've made more sense maybe
June 23, 201213 yr Author Actually the GT 530 was given to me by one of my sons freinds. Thought I could use it. The few things I could find say the HD4850 is the faster card even though the GT 530 has 1gig of ram.
