June 23, 201213 yr Seems my aircraft has gone tech, and this stuff is definitely on the MEL. For reasons I am unable to discern, my 737NGX's MCP and radios have stopped displaying anything in their LCD displays. I load the aircraft by starting on the ground with the default trike, then load the 737NGX. The default panel state starts fine, but the aforementioned displays are missing both in 2D and the VC. Selecting and loading a different cockpit state yields the same results, even when starting from cold and dark. Now, I know the MCP's controls are still working, as the mode selection buttons (e.g. VNAV) still light up, and if I turn any of the selection knobs this is reflected on my PFD and/or ND; I simply don't get any readout in the LCD windows. I've tried both types of MCD, various starting scenarious (stock flight, tutorial etc.), all to no avail. I have disabled and/or removed all the addons I have such as FSUIPC, FS2Crew, ENB - again with no luck. TBH I haven't deleted the aircraft yet & reinstalled. Which is my next step, but thought I'd check in here as well. Cheers, James Culleton
June 23, 201213 yr I'm willing to bet this is a font issue. Reinstall should fix it. Maybe try a repair first and see if it works. Make sure you run the installer as admin. Thanks!Nick CrateChief Executive OfficerFedEx Virtual Air Cargo
June 25, 201213 yr Author Yep, reinstalled, and fixed. Weird. Can't think of anything that would've changed my fonts.
June 25, 201213 yr Also, you don't need to start with the trike anymore, just load the NGX straight from the Free Flight menu. Name available upon request
