OK...I am about to give up here

 

I am in Toronto, Ontario. I have been trying to download the free red-tails P51.

I find it on the Xbox live site....says it free. good.

So I click Buy for PC.

Pop up comes up confirming purchase. two buttons to press. either Billing information, or Cancel.

I hit Billing information.

I go to a info site, but it's only for folks in the US. I can't change it to Canada, thus I cannot fill out the fields.

 

How do I do this?

Do it all in ms flight, not in Windoze live!

Originally when I did it, I went on the wife's computer and downloaded it through the game. It was the non-steam version. Since my PC was running Flight through Steam. Not sure if you're running it through Steam or not. MS was supposed to make it available through the xbox live website, since people were having trouble trying to get it.

I'm using Steam. Unfortunately, I can't do it in Flight...Nothing is present in the Marketplace, and it's not present in the Hangar.

 

Flight gives me instructions go through the Xbox live site, after which it will show up in the Hangar for download.

Did you try from here? It's the Canadian link.

I tried that....I end up forced into the same billing screen which doesn't allow for a canuck address.

sad, sad Canadian here. Well, not really, I don't care so much for the P51, I am only anticipating trouble downloading future DLC.

One thing you could do, but it would be a real pain. Re-download and install the GFWL version of Flight. You can then log into your account and DL the free plane. It's shouldn't effect your Steam install at all. I'd be a little upset too, mainly because I like free stuff, and not being able to get it would suck. And of course it would also make me wonder about the availability of future DLC.

I'm in Ottawa... had no problems downloading it but did it from within the game and it never asked for any billing information. I don't have Steam, however. (I did have Steam to get the bundle but uninstalled it once I got the codes since I didn't like having 2 game clients to deal with).

When you say you did it within the game...do you mean you chose it from the Hangar?

You should be good if you set the account up first from the Canadian site without trying to buy anything and then link it to your GFWL account. This is how I did it and have had no problems purchasing content or adding $ since.
