May 22, 200422 yr Last night I was flying and came across this thing. It went up to about 50,000 feet and it seemed to move from west to east, very slowly but it moved. Very strange indeed! Any ideas?ThanksPhilip Olsonhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/77089.jpg
May 22, 200422 yr Uh-h-h, the world's largest screened-in porch???On a serious side, I went to the lat/long shown and mine doesn't have it.'Fraid you've got a conflict in two or more scenery bgl's. If you've added a new one lately, delete and see if goes away. Otherwise, you'll need to remove all the add-on scenery files and start adding them back one at a time until you find the guilty one...BobL

May 22, 200422 yr Michael, You may be right since this is just north of Colorado Springs home of the Air Force Academy, Fort Carson, NORAD, and some other high security military bases. :-lol Maybe the government is testing their new security system in MSFS before releasing it in the real world. I just went and started another flight at KCOS and that thing is not there today so maybe it was just some kind of fluke. I fly out of KCOS most of the time and have never seen anything like this, I have not added any new scenery or made any system changes so I am kind of curious as to why this popped up all of a sudden. I tried to re create the flight also, fly out of KCOS at 6:00 in the morning bound for KDEN using the Fair Weather theme and the PMDG B1900 but that thing was gone, thankfully. Good thing I took a screenshot for proof or everyone would think that I was crazy! :-lol Thanks,Philip Olsonhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg
May 22, 200422 yr Hi Philip,I think it could also be a new high-tech "wall" being put up by "G-Force" from Japan to defend the US against Godzilla :)))Seriously though, if this does not happen again, it may have been a video card rendering problem (anomaly really, a surprise attack of the video card Gremlins...:0))) If it recurs, either in the same place or in different places, other than making sure there are no conflicting sceneries, you may want to make sure your video drivers are up-to-date. Also, playing with Anisotropic filtering, mip-mapping may be worth trying.John I love flying my "iddy biddy Jumbo" CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, socket 775/3GHz/1333MHz bus/6MB cache MOBO: Asus P5E3 Deluxe WiFi-AP@n/Intel X38 chipset RAM: 4GB Kingston HyperX 1333MHz. rated 7-7-7-20, matched pair (2 x 2GB) GRAPHICS: Sapphire Radeon 5770HD 1GB (w/ fan) MONITOR: Samsung 24", 2494HM LCD wide-screen 1920x1080 SOUND: SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS HARD DRIVES: 1xWestern Digital WD1600JD SATA 160GB (primary/Windows XP and system boot drive) 1xWestern Digital WD3200AAJS SATA2 320GB (secondary/Flight Simulator 2004 running off WinXP Pro 32-bit, games video editing drive) 1xWestern Digital 500GB Black series SATA2 (Windows 7 64-bit: FSX is running off Win7; Windows XP Professional 32-bit) CASE: Antec Sonata III 500W OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit for FSX; Windows XP Pro 32-bit for other things.
