WeatherRadar for FSX

I am trying hard to create a weatherradar in FSX. I do have information about Clouds and metar reports. Any other information i am missing?

There is a data structure to set up and read, holding a grid of cells showing the clouds locations, and you ask the weather stations for their reports.
