July 6, 201213 yr Hi all, I have the Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 but it's not compatible with Windows 7, 64 bit. Windows 7 will install the drivers but it doesn't install the programmable features that's available on my Sidewinder so that I can program my Sidewinder for different aircraft functions, such as TO/GA, Auto-Pilot Disconnect, and Auto-Throttle Disconnect. Some of these actions are available in FSX but when I program them to my Sidewinder, the actions still do not work when I press a button on the Sidewinder. The other problem is that not all of these actions are available in FSX nor are they all available in the PMGD menu. Do I have to buy another joystick with the programmable features? If so, I do not want a springed return to center joystick. I want one just like the Sidewinder that has a smooth motion. It seems like every time I find one, it has a springed return to center and the real aircraft yokes do not have this action. Is there something I can do with my joystick or do I have to buy another one? I want one that will be compatible with Windows 7, has the programmable features, and has the smooth motion action without the return to center force. Ken.
July 6, 201213 yr I've used FF2 with FSX on Win7 x64 for almost three years now, with help of FSUIPC though. Do the FSX functions you described function with default aircraft? I recommend FSForce 2 proggie to further enhance your flights. https://www.youtube.com/user/JustaRandomSimmer Simulator Videos http://sierra-hotel.blogspot.com Aviation Picture Blog
