July 6, 201213 yr I have Intel CPU i7 [email protected] GHZ, Cores:6 , Threads: 12 Why only one CPU runs 100% and Average CPU Usage remains around 26%. I assume CPU usages should be distribute to all 6 CPU ? Thanks Ahmet Sanal "Time you enjoyed wasting, was not wasted"

July 6, 201213 yr Author I was searching a soft ware systems forced FSX to use all available CPUs. Unless I was dreaming, around January, there was a post informing a software successfully reducing the workload , one base CPU usages and separating FSX clusters to an additional CPUs, Unfortunately I never found the post again. Nothing will change the way FSX is coded Ahmet. The main scheduler is the thread that has that one core maxed out. That's the thread that dictates performance. The rest of the cores can be used for texture loading, but texture loading works just fine on 2-3 cores
July 6, 201213 yr Maybe you are thinking of Multi Core Environment. Take a look here: http://forum.simflight.com/forum/128-fsps-support-forum/ Joe Brown
July 6, 201213 yr Author Daeio. Thanks. I think this is the end of FSX story for multiple CPU usage. Ahmet Sanal "Time you enjoyed wasting, was not wasted"
July 6, 201213 yr Author Joe, Thanks, yes, that is the one, I wonder will work for FSX? Ahmet Sanal "Time you enjoyed wasting, was not wasted"
July 6, 201213 yr Yes, it works in FSX. I've used it. I don't use it anymore. With upgrades to my system and depending on the aircraft and scenery, I don't find it necessary. You can also assign particular apps to particular cores by using the affinity setting in Task Manager. Joe Brown
