fsx stop working after about 2 hours

Featured Replies

Hey fallows,

i have been flying in vatsim for 3 years now, only and only with the NGX i cant fly any other plane, i feel like its by far less real.

anywho, after 2 hours or so, i get a message from windows that fsx stopped working, and its restarting or something.

my question is, there is by any chance that the computer is overheated? the resolution isn't good on the computer/game?

i have tried some other games and all have the same problem. thanks!

Did it recently start doing this within the last month or so? I had the same problem with other games just stopping for no apparent reason. I thought it was something I did but couldn't nail it down until I found out that some NVIDIA cards (specifically the 560TI which I also have) started doing this after a certain driver update. I found a forum post where a user recommended going back to 285.62 and it worked. My machine is back to it's old slow but more stable self!

I did a full uninstall of the nvidia graphics drivers, ran driver sweep and registry cleaner prior to the 285.62 install.

Hope that helps ya.
