Extended VC-Cockpit advice please

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm toying with the idea of Dual monitors so I can Expand my Cockpit view but I'm not sure how best to achieve this. Do you think I'll be able to accomplish this via my Graphic Card (GTX 590) or do you advice me to go with Dual-heads to-go.

Thanks for any Info and help

John

Specs: Windows 7/64 - i7 2600k, GTX 590, 8mb Corsair Vengence, ATX 1200 P/S, Sabertooth P67 M/b, Water cooled. FSX, UT2, REXessen, RC4, TrackIR.

I was using dual monitor (2 X 24" Dell) as one large view... for a while under Win xp. I actually loved it within VC Also the external spot view, the aircraft was split in two without bezel management. Also in VC the runway is gernally split within the bezel. But if you are in a wind situation where the aircraft has to yaw in an angle when on approach the runway would not be split.

But now, when I moved to Win 7, the nvidia driver for the 670 does not support dual view. But then I did get a third monitor to get 2D surround using 3 X 24"

Thanks Manny,

I think I'll try and see what effect it has on FSX/frames etc by hooking-up a couple of monitors through my graphic card.

Cheers
