July 10, 201213 yr Before u ask, i have been to the DA forums but honestly, there's cobwebs growing on there website. Anyway i have a problem and it has me stumped. I load up the aircraft with TOPCAT, and have also tried it with DA's Load configuration manager, and all is within limits. Yet when i takeoff using the Captain's side, (and i do not get a takeoff config warning) i cant lift the aircraft into the air, i have to wind the trim right back before it gets airborne. Now here's the part that stumps me. Without reconfiguring, i takeoff using the First Officer's side, and the aircraft lifts into the air as it should. Yet if i switch back to the Captain's side, i cant get airborne. Any ideas?
July 11, 201213 yr Can't say I've seen this, my little Fokker (heh heh, never gets old) also gets loaded via TOPCAT and I have little problem lifting off from the Captain's side. The trim does have to be in the green section on the pedestal, quite a bit back IIRC, but if you're lifting off from the FO side that couldn't be it. Once you're in the air, does the aircraft fly OK from the captain's side? How about when you're powered up on the ground, do the control surfaces move as they should? Cheers, SLuggy who loves his little Fokkers (heh heh) I do not have a signature. Why are you reading this?
July 11, 201213 yr Think I've got it; when you make a new a/c profile in TOPCAT, make sure you haven't selected the F/O version of the aircraft; I reckon you've loaded the F/O version correctly, but the captain model is either overloaded or everything has been crammed just behind the cockpit door. If this doesn't work, once you've loaded the aircraft into FS9, load the a/c via TOPCAT's FSUIPC interface. Hopefully this'll work. Cheers, SLuggy I do not have a signature. Why are you reading this?
July 11, 201213 yr Author Appreciate your replies Sluggy. The aircraft flys like a dream when on the F/O side, but when flying the Captain's side it feels like a Mack truck, very, and pardon the pun, Sluggish. Now that you've mentioned creating a new aircraft file by TOPCAT, i did the other day, im gonna look into that. I actually uninstalled the aircraft and re-installed, and the problem remains, so its not the aircraft itself. TOPCAT, mmm, gonna have a look at that now. UPDATE: Did as you said, actually deleted the F/O aircraft profile that i created in TOPCAT, loaded the aircraft via FSUIPC, but its still being a pig. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Slasher
